Breathe and Listen

“Breathe. Let go. And remind yourself that this very moment is the only one you know you have for sure.” Oprah Winfrey

Spring this year is capricious, giving people mood-swings at its full control. At least that’s how I, if not we all, feel in Beijing. Giving us only a glimpse of white throughout the entire winter, snowflakes tiptoed among us last week again and coated the city with a fine layer of sludge. Following two days were ascending temperatures that brought the hope of spring back to people’s mind again.

Breathe and listen. Spring is here!

Gone with that unexpected snowfall was the cold and our farewell to the winter. I and our Marley have had several lovely morning walks since the last sight of snow. Now when the sun is up and air clear, everything is inviting us to breathe it all in. The smell, the breeze, the warmth, is all at ease. My four-legged friend keeps showing me the way that the now is all that matters.

Breathe and listen. Life is beautiful!

I have braided myself into a calendar layered with learning, working, and appointment this week too. Listening has opened my eyes. The voice of others is not merely a sound. There is more into it. There is more yet to be discovered.

Breathe and listen. Good change is right around the corner!

Word of the Day:

呼吸 hū xī is the term in Simplified Chinese for breathe. The character 呼hū has the meaning of exhale and 吸xī means to inhale or absorb.
